Man pleads guilty in stepfather's murder

In a plea agreement, 20-year-old Daniel Lee Hicks has admitted to being the gunman in his stepfather's killing and has agreed to testify against his mother and sister.

John M. Parker was shot in April 2003 outside his vacuum cleaner sales training business in Merrillville.

Hick's mother, Judy Parker, has not been charged. His sister, Christina Hicks Grabski, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
