The fifth group has graduated from the Salvation Army's School for Cooks in Springfield. Nine veterans graduated from the eight-week program Monday.
Their first task was to serve up delicious prime rib, shrimp and asparagus for guests at a restaurant in Springfield. The School for Cooks program is sponsored by the Illinois Department of Veteran's Affairs.
