The Walt Disney Company, which also owns ABC7, is shutting down all of its ESPN Zone outlets except for those tied to Disney properties.
An ESPN spokesman tells the Chicago Tribune that, "since their inception, the Zones have served sports fans very well but from a pure business perspective, the economics have been challenging."
