A former nursing supervisor at a northwest suburban nursing home has been cleared of criminal charges.

Penny Whitlock was accused of allowing an employee to overmedicate patients at the Woodstock Residence Nursing Home. That followed an investigation into six suspicious patient deaths in 2006.

Wednesday, a judge found Whitlock not guilty of obstruction of justice. Tuesday, he threw out criminal negligence charges against her.
