Last Tuesday, Chopper 7 HD spotted the dog dodging attempts by police and others to capture it, but it was eventually caught near 65th Street and taken to Pulaski Animal Hospital.
No owner came forward to claim the animal since its capture, which caused the hospital to be overwhelmed with callers who wanted to adopt it.
Dr. Stan Kalata, one of the veterinarians who have been treating the dog, says he has bonded with the animal and now he has adopted "Rags" the runaway dog.
