2 injured in Morgan Park fuel tank fire

The incident happened around 2:15 p.m. in the 1000-block of South Drew Street in the Morgan Park neighborhood.

Quick action of neighbors may have saved the lives of the two men, who were working in a residential garage where a makeshift auto repair shop had been set up.

One man, 46, suffered 3rd degree burns on 60-percent of his body, including his upper chest and face. He is in critical condition with a compromised airway, officials said. The other man, 57, has 3rd degree burns up to 40-percent of his body, including his face, chest and arms. He is in stable condition.
