Chicago man accused in shooting that killed mother, injured daughter

Frank Smith faces charges of first degree murder and attempted murder. The shooting happened on February 28 in the 5400-block of South Laflin.

Theresa Spearman, 46, was shot in the abdomen and back. She died at Stroger Hospital.

Her 25-year-old daughter survived gunshot wounds to the torso.

Smith was located in Indianapolis and extradited back to Chicago.
