A Chicago police officer is being lauded for going above and beyond the call of duty when she helped deliver a baby to a young couple while at the scene of a shooting.
"During this viewing, their baby was wrapped tightly in a blanket with his head propped on top of his body in a manner such that those viewing him could not identify that he had been decapitated," according to the statement.
The baby was struggling to breathe when the officer stepped in to help.
