NEW YORK -- A woman was killed when she fell out of a car in Bay Ridge.

The driver, believed to be her husband, was taken into custody on suspicion of drunk driving.

He was driving a 2002 GMC Envoy and turning onto Bay Ridge Parkway at Fifth Avenue when the vehicle's rear door suddenly opened just after 1 a.m. Friday. The 29-year-old woman, identified as Danielle Arronsen, of Brooklyn, who was sitting in the back seat, fell out of the vehicle, striking her head on the ground. She was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The husband, 25, is being questioned at the 66th Precinct and charges are pending.

The two were believed to be at a nearby bar before the crash.

The investigation closed a stretch of busy Bay Ridge Parkway.
