CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are looking for the gunman who shot a semi driver on the Bishop Ford Freeway near 130th Street on Chicago's Far South Side.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired on the inbound lanes of the Bishop Ford just south of 130th Street around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. At least two bullet holes were seen on the passenger side of the truck.
The semi driver was shot in the leg. The Chicago Fire Department said the 29-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition stabilized.
Officers shut down the ramp from 130th Street to the inbound Bishop Ford Wednesday night to investigate the shooting.
Illinois State Police and Chicago police are looking into whether it was a road rage incident.
This comes just over a month after state police placed more troopers on the road from midnight to 5 a.m. over the weekend to prevent shootings on the expressway.
