CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Bulls, who usually wear red and black, were accented with a lot of pink Thursday night to raise awareness for breast cancer.

The first 10,000 fans at the United Center received a pink t-shirt to highlight the importance of early detection.

Benny the Bull and the Luvabulls also sported pink attire.

But what really made the night special was three breast cancer survivors who were honorary co-captains.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

To cap off the evening, Bulls guard Jimmy Butler hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat the Atlanta Hawks in preseason action.
