GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- A northwest Indiana man is being recognized for working at the same place for 60 years.
Charles Kelley is a field service representative for Indiana American Water. Though back when he started, it was the Gary-Hobart Water Company.
When we asked what he liked about the work, he joked and said "the money." And it seems he and his co-workers joke around - a lot.
"I didn't even know nothing about this here. This was a surprise to me even though I changed clothes and took a bath. How about that?," Kelley said, laughing.
"When God created the water company, he used Kelley as one of the hammers. That's a quote," co-worker Tommy Makatura said.
Kelley says he might retire later this year, but he'll keep working at the plumbing business he owns.
