Banner honors Michael Brown 2 years after he was shot and killed by police

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Activists throughout the country are marking the two year anniversary since Michael Brown was shot and killed by police in Ferguson, Missouri.

In Chicago, members of the Black Lives Matter movement painted a banner in honor of Brown's death and others who were killed by police.

Brown's shooting was the catalyst for the Black Lives Matter movement.

The banner will be carried at a planned march.
