Suspected Darien home invader barricades in Homer Glen residence, prompting shelter-in-place
A victim was injured in the home invasion, which prompted a police chase.
HOMER GLEN, Ill. (WLS) -- A Darien home invasion suspect fled to Homer Glen and barricaded themselves in a residence, prompting a shelter-in-place order on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Darien police said officers responded to the 1400-block of Sequoia Drive for a reported home invasion just after 2 p.m.

A victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the invasion, police said. First responders treated the victim on the scene before transported them to a local hospital.
Responding officers saw the suspect fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Officers chased the suspect before stopping near Bell Road and 143rd Street in Homer Glen.
Officers from other law enforcement agencies later found the suspect at a home in the 13200-block of Maverick Trail in Homer Glen.
The Will County Sheriff's Office said it is assisting other police agencies on the scene.
Maverick Trail is blocked off at Woodland and Parker. Chopper 7 was over the scene, where a large police presence was visible around 4 p.m.
The sheriff's office asked residents living on Maverick Trail to shelter in place.
Officials did not immediately provide further information.
