CPS students smash record for college scholarship offers

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Public Schools students earned more than doubled their scholarship offers in the last two years, the mayor's office said.

The graduating class of 2015 earned more than $950 million in scholarships.

That's up 21 percent from last year, when the total was about $800 million. The class of 2013 earned $400 million in scholarships.
