CHICAGO (WLS) -- A suspect is in custody after a shooting at the Clark and Division Red Line station in the Old Town neighborhood Saturday morning, Chicago police said.
At around 3 a.m., a man pulled out a handgun and opened fire on another man while walking down the stairs at the Division stop, police said. No one was injured in the shooting.
After the shooting, he hopped down onto the tracks, police said. He took off northbound to try and get away from authorities, running all the way to the North and Clybourn stop, more than a mile away, where police were waiting for him.
The CTA said some 95th-bound Red Line trains were operating with residual delays because of the police activity, but as of 3:30 a.m. all trains were running on time.
