2 charged in crash-and-grab burglary involving stolen van, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two men have been charged in connection with a crash-and-grab burglary at a store in the city's Northwest Side, police said.

Daniel Gonzalez and Adrian Duran were arrested Saturday after police responded to a reported burglary in the 5400-block of W. Belmont around 6:05 a.m., police said.

Investigators say an allegedly stolen white van had been driven through the large glass window of the store.

Gonzalez and Duran were taken into custody and face charges of burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.
