CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Transit Authority added its first all-electric buses to its fleet.
The two new buses are part of the transit agency's plan to modernize the system. The CTA said the buses will provide a cleaner, quieter ride and reduce fuel costs and emissions. Each bus can run between 80-120 miles on a single charge, officials said, and the emissions from each bus are equal to removing 23 cars from the road annually.
