New lawsuit filed with allegations against ex-Chicago priest Daniel McCormack

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Another lawsuit has been filed in Cook County court, alleged sexual abuse by an ex-Chicago priest, naming the Archdiocese of Chicago.

The plaintiff claims former priest Daniel McCormack molested him between 2003 and 2004.

McCormack was a basketball coach at St. Agatha's Parish on Chicago's West Side.

He was removed from the priesthood in 2007 and sentenced to five years in prison for other child sex abuse charges.

He's been at a mental health facility since his release in 2009.
