CONROE, TX -- There was an extremely close call for a Montgomery County sheriff's deputy and a driver after they were nearly hit by a truck during a traffic stop. It was all caught on the deputy's squad car dash cam.
The deputy had stopped a Mustang on FM 3083 last month. The driver claimed that a pickup had been following his car too closely and the driver threw a bottle at him.
During the stop, the deputy sat in his squad car and a truck came and hit the Mustang.
The Mustang's driver barely got out of the way. The pickup driver stopped. He told the deputy he'd spilled a Coke in his lap and that distracted him, causing him to lose control.
