Radio DJ Timbuck2 loses battle with cancer

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago radio personality is being mourned Sunday after losing a battle with cancer.

Timbuck2 was a popular radio personality with V103 and WGCI Chicago.

The hip hop music blog Fake Shore Drive calls him an innovator and one of the best DJ's in the city.

His Saturday night program on WGCI showcased local talent and helped break many of Chicago's top acts.

Timbuck2's real name was Tim Jones. He was 34 years old.
