Fundraiser held to save Andersonville water tower

April 7, 2014 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- The first fundraiser will be held Monday night to try and save the Andersonville water tower.

The landmark on top of the Swedish- American Museum was removed last month because of damage from winter weather.

The tower had been there since 1927. Later, the Swedish flag was painted on and it became a symbol in the Andersonville neighborhood.
