GLEN ELLYN, Ill. (WLS) -- Two men are charged in connection with a kidnapping and armed robbery in west suburban Glen Ellyn, police said.

Joshua Phillips of Glen Ellyn and Alonzo Alexander of Wheaton both appeared in bond court Friday. They are accused of abducting a rideshare driver at gunpoint last Saturday. Police said they forced the man to drive around and withdraw cash from his bank account at several ATMs.

The man escaped and ran during one of the stops.
