CHICAGO (WLS) -- A threat at a prep school on Chicago's South Side is under investigation.
Parents with students at Hansberry College Prep in the city's Gresham neighborhood received automated calls from the school over the weekend, telling them police are investigating a shooting threat against the campus.
The threat was posted to Facebook. The person who appears to have posted it tagged several other Facebook users in the message, which was full of expletives.
The rant accuses students of being bullies and threatens gun violence against them.
Hansberry is a charter school run by the Noble Network. Administrators said there will be class Monday and investigators have identified a person of interest in the case.
Regardless, some parents ABC7 Eyewitness News spoke with said they won't be sending their children to school Monday. They would rather be overly cautious than regret sending their kids to class.
