LOS ANGELES -- Authorities evacuated several terminals and a baggage claim area at Los Angeles International Airport to investigate a bomb threat involving a Homeland Security van.
Los Angeles Airport police evacuated a baggage claim area near curbside terminals 3 through 6 and passengers were directed to the upper level terminals.
The FBI received a call around 2 p.m. Saturday from a male suspect who threatened the airport with a bomb, Los Angeles police said. The suspect claimed the bomb was inside a Homeland Security van in a lower level parking lot near Terminal 4.
The bomb squad investigated the scene, eventually giving an all-clear shortly before 4 p.m.
