Man killed in Humboldt Park shooting

CHICAGO -- A man was shot to death early Wednesday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

Officers responding to reports of shots fired at 12:08 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Pulaski found the 35-year-old man inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
