ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- The Illinois School Report Card shows minority students now outnumber their white counterparts statewide, and more than 50 percent of students come from low-income families. Educators describe it as a huge shift, as they adjust by providing classroom intervention and support, teacher training, and engaging minority families to get them more involved in their children's education.
