Drivers eligible for refunds from old I-Pass accounts

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Illinois Tollway is offering drivers a chance to retrieve unclaimed money from old I-Pass accounts.

Customers who have inactive accounts with balances of at least $10 will get a letter telling them to reactive their account or close it to get a refund. This affects accounts that have been inactive for at least seven years.

The accounts of customers who do not take action by October 1 will be closed.

The money will be transferred to the state's I-Cash program.
