CHICAGO (WLS) -- Bulls star Joakim Noah hopes basketball can be a bridge between neighborhoods, ending the violence between them.
Five years ago, Noah and his mother founded the Noah's Arc Foundation. Tuesday, the organization hosted a basketball game involving teams from the Chicago's south and west sides.
Noah's strategy is to bring together children from neighborhoods with factions that are often at war.
"People want to turn their back to what's going on in Chicago, and I'm not going to let that happen," Noah said.
Noah's Arc also offers art and mentorship opportunities. They've impacted nearly 1,000 kids.
