NEW YORK (WLS) -- The clinic where Joan Rivers went into cardiac arrest is under investigation by the New York State Health Department, officials said.
Rivers was at the clinic, Yorkville Endoscopy, undergoing a medical procedure last week when she went into cardiac arrest.
Health officials said investigators visited the clinic to determine whether it will be cited for violations related to reporting incidents similar to Rivers' to the state. However, officials have not confirmed what triggered the investigation.
Rivers was moved from intensive care to a private room Wednesday, though no further details have been released on her condition. On Tuesday, her family confirmed that she was on life support at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.
In this latest statement, her daughter, Melissa Rivers, thanked the public for its continued support.
"My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable," Melissa Rivers said.
