ST. CHARLES, Ill. (WLS) -- St. Charles native Katie Hilborn was all but born with wanderlust and a desire to help people, a trait evident by the time she was in high school.
She talked her church mission group into a trip to Ireland. After college, she took part in humanitarian efforts in South America and Africa. Eventually, she landed in Nepal, with modest visions of helping poor orphans. But the devastating earthquake in April led Hilborn to a higher calling: she is now trying to raise money to fight the rampant child sex trafficking occurring in Nepal.
