Lake Shore Drive overnight repairs scheduled next week

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Overnight periodic lane closures on Lake Shore Drive between 18th and 57th streets are scheduled next week.

Crews need to fix the pavement that buckled due to the extreme heat last week.

The repairs will be done from Sunday to Thursday between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Workers will also inspect and clear pavement joints and water catch basins on both sides of Lake Shore Drive. At least one lane will remain open in each direction during that time.
