Chicago police are investigating a deadly mass shooting on the city's South Side.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least 37 people have been shot, three fatally, in shootings across Chicago so far this weekend, police said.

Additional victim reported in Washington Park shooting, bringing total to 1 killed, 14 hurt

A man was killed and at least 14 people were injured when gunfire erupted as officers tried to disperse a crowd at a South Side park on Saturday night, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened in Washington Park in the 5400-block of South Cottage Grove Avenue just after 11:30 p.m.

An unknown person or group of people started firing into the crowd, striking several people, police said.

Police initially reported 10 victims - four women and six men -- including a 35-year-old man who was pronounced dead the University of Chicago Medical Center after being shot in the body multiple times. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Rontonio M. Guterz, of Chicago.

CPD later said five additional women were injured in the shooting. One person was seriously injured, 10 people were in fair to good condition, and the conditions of the three other victims were not immediately known.

Police find more Washington Park mass shooting victims

Chicago police said four more victims were found in the Washington Park mass shooting on Saturday.

The victims were four women aged 21, 23, 43 and 47.

The 47-year-old woman was taken to Northwestern Hospital in serious condtion.

The other three women were taken to the University of Chicago and are expected to be OK.

Man shot in West Englewood, Chicago police say

A man was shot in the 5600-block of S. Wolcott Avenue on Sunday, Chicago police said.

CPD said the shooting happened at about 7:15 a.m.

A 32-year-old man was outside when he heard a loud noise and felt pain.

He was shot in the leg and self-transported to Holy Cross hospital; he is expected to be OK.

Man shot on South Side, Chicago police say

A man was shot in the 3100-block of S. King Drive on Sunday, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened at about 3:30 a.m.

The 35-year-old man was outside when he was approached by a man.

The man was shot in the leg and self-transported to U of C where he was listed in "fair condition."
