Man shot in the head through bedroom window in Back of the Yards

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 50-year-old man was wounded by a bullet that came through his bedroom window in the 2100-block of West Garfield Boulevard.

The victim was in his second-floor bedroom around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday when police said someone fired shots outside his home in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood. A bullet came through his window and struck him in the head.

He was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
