CHICAGO (WLS) -- Customers are getting a look inside the new Michael Jordan brand Nike store in Chicago, which opened early Saturday morning.
The lines to get in the store have been growing since Monday.
The store, which is located at 32 South State St., contains multiple levels with products dedicated entirely to Nike's Jordan brand. The first floor features retail and art designed by local artists. The second floor features a basketball half court and workout area for local students to use. In fact, students from De La Salle Institute were practicing inside Saturday morning.
The store's top level is a customization area.
Jordan tweeted preview images of the store Friday.
Fans packed the store, purchasing as many shoes as they can get their hands on.
"I love the store, it's decorated nicely, it's a great experience. I got to see a lot of the shoes that are not out yet," said John Taylor, who has waited in line since Tuesday.
"It's definitely a crazy experience, they have a great variety of sneakers, I'm definitely coming back around," said Devon Dale, a shopper.
