Michelle Obama featured in Quinn campaign ad

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new political ad hitting the airwaves this week features First Lady Michelle Obama supporting Governor Pat Quinn.

"He'll never cut funding for military families or veterans to give a tax break to the wealthy," Obama says in the ad. "So for this election, Barack and I are casting our votes for our friend Pat Quinn."

The ad goes on to praise Quinn's, "courage to do what's right."

The First Lady will be in Chicago Tuesday, at the UIC Pavilion for a rally in support of Quinn.

Over the weekend Republican Bruce Rauner picked up the endorsement of The Daily Herald newspaper.
