National Angel Quilt visits Chicago area
The National Angel Quilt, which honors victims of pediatric cancers, will be on display at the Orland Park Mall.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The National Angel Quilt features images, names and ages of children who have lost the battle with cancer. It has been touring the country beginning in September 2011 to raise awareness of pediatric cancer, and has now arrived in Orland Park for display through Sunday.

The quilt began in 2011 and was inspired by the loss of friends, including Vincent Vallaci of Park Ridge, Ill. It seeks to honor and remember the children lost to cancer. The quilt has traveled 15,000 miles to date and been displayed in 18 states. It will be displayed at Orland Square Mall, during mall hours, through Sunday.
