All clear at Newark Airport after suspicious package causes evacuations, Port Authority Police report

NEWARK, New Jersey -- Parts of Newark Airport were evacuated Saturday afternoon after Port Authority Police reported a suspicious package.

However, the package did not pose a threat, and an all clear was given at about 5:15 p.m. CST.

The package was discovered Terminal A, Level 3.

The Port Authority Police Officer's Union tweeted that the suspicious package is a pressure cooker. However, there are no reports of any injuries.
