Robber who hit downtown bank a repeat offender, FBI says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A downtown bank was robbed Friday afternoon by a man who the FBI says robbed another bank less than a mile away earlier last week.

The Citibank at 100 South Michigan Avenue was hit shortly before 1 p.m., officials said.

On Aug. 4, the man is believed to have robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 601 S. Clark St. in the South Loop neighborhood.
