Car hits police cruiser on Dan Ryan, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are investigating after an alleged drunk driver crashed into an Illinois State Police cruiser on the city's South Side.

Investigators say the trooper's vehicle was pulled over on the side of the Dan Ryan Expressway when it was hit near 71st Street around 4:48 a.m. Sunday.

No one was hurt in the crash.

The driver was given a sobriety test before he was arrested, but no citations have been issued.
