UNINCORPORATED GRAYSLAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- A man wanted for questioning in a homicide investigation in unincorporated Grayslake was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the Dana Hotel in Chicago.
Dena Seymour, 46, was found dead in her home in the 31200-block of North Alleghany Road in unincorporated Grayslake around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators found she had been shot several times.
Lake County sheriff's officers were looking for Seymour's boyfriend, 30-year-old Leo Amin, a person of interest in the case. Officers had said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Chicago police officers responded to the hotel in the 600-block of North State Street in the city's River North neighborhood around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. They found Amin and saw he had shot himself in the head.
Amin, of the 1100-block of Lakeview Avenue in Crystal Lake, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead.
Autopsies for Amin and Seymour are scheduled Wednesday at the Cook County medical examiner's office and Lake County coroner's office, respectively.
