Hit-and-run driver strikes 76-year-old pedestrian on NW Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian on the city's Northwest Side Friday night.

The driver hit the 76-year-old man as he was crossing the intersection at Central and Ainslie just before 8:30 p.m. Friday.

The victim is in serious condition Saturday night.

His family said the driver was speeding and driving a light-colored SUV.
