Lake Shore Drive crash kills 1, injures 2 near McCormick Place

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One person was killed and two others injured in a crash near McCormick Place on Lake Shore Drive, officials said.

The crash occurred early Saturday morning in the southbound lanes near the I-55 interchange on Lake Shore Drive after a car slammed into a bridge support, police said.

Some southbound lanes were temporarily closed on Lake Shore Drive near 24th Street, but re-opened later Saturday.
