SALEM, Wis. (WLS) -- Could distracted driving have caused a crash that killed a 21-year-old from Antioch?
The car he was driving rear-ended a school bus in Salem, Wisconsin just north of the Illinois border Friday morning in the 24500 block of Wilmot Road.
The bus had just picked up a child.
Three children suffered minor injuries.
Police say there were little to no skid marks at the scene.
"The actual bumper of the back of the bus, it appears like it went almost to the back of the passenger seat or the driver's seat. So the van appears to have hit at a pretty, at a decent rate of speed," said Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, including the possibility of distracted driving.
Both vehicles were heading westbound on . The was transporting students to Westosha Central High School. The uninjured students on the bus were taken to the Trevor Fire Department to be released to school officials and parents.
