CHICAGO (WLS) -- A police SUV and an Uber van crashed in Chicago's Wrigleyville neighborhood.
The vehicles collided at the intersection of Clark and Addison around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police ticketed the 23-year-old Uber driver for failing to yield the right of way and damage to public property. But the driver said the police SUV did not have its siren or emergency lights on at the time of the crash.
"The light was green, which is why I was already in the intersection. As soon as I start making a left, the cop comes out. You can see all the impact is up on my right front corner from him shooting straight out," Luis Gomez said.
Seven people, including a police officer, were taken to hospitals. No one was seriously hurt.
