Police: Woman killed after trying to break up a fight

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say a 27-year-old woman was killed after trying to break up a fight between two men at a party on the West Side early Sunday.

La Tanya Anderson stepped between two men fighting in the 300-block of South Cicero. One of them shot her in the head.

Anderson was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police are investigating. No arrests have been made.
