Traffic stop leads to drugs, weapons bust

LAKE COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- Two men are facing serious jail time after police linked them to a stash of drugs and weapons during a traffic stop.

Lake County detectives pulled over Wayne Mackins and Eddie Calhoun, and arrested them for carrying crack cocaine.

Investigators got a search warrant to check out a storage unit Calhoun was using and they found more drugs and a collection of semi-automatic weapons.

Police say both men are documented gang members, and face several drug and weapons charges.
