Truck driver pleads guilty in crash that killed 5 near Channahon

CHANNAHON, Ill. (WLS) -- An Indiana truck driver who is charged with killing five people in a crash more than two years ago pleaded guilty Tuesday.

Francisco Espinal-Quirzo is charged with reckless homicide in connection with the accident near Channahon.

In July 2014, he was driving a semi-truck on I-55 when prosecutors said he sped through a construction zone and crashed into three vehicles, killing five people.
