Wheaton College starts termination process against professor

WHEATON, Ill. (WLS) -- A Wheaton College professor who was placed on administrative leave for a Facebook post could soon lose her job.

The school has started the termination process against Larycia Hawkins. The political science professor came under fire after posting a comment online saying Christians and Muslims worship the same god.

The college said that does not represent its evangelical statement of faith. Hawkins plans to speak on the matter Wednesday.
