Minister, wife killed in crash with suspected street racer
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- A Baptist minister and his wife are dead after a street racing accident on the northwest side of Houston.
Deputies say a speeding truck ran a red light and then ran into the innocent couple's car.
It all happened around 9:15pm at Bammel North Houston and the West Sam Houston Beltway feeder.
The racing cars were speeding westbound on the feeder road, when the light at Bammel North Houston turned red for westbound drivers. One of the racing cars stopped, but the other, a truck, kept going and slammed into the victims' car, killing the coupe inside. Making things worse, both racing drivers then took off.

"You know what you did, you know who you are," says Jesse Sabillon, Jr., the victim's son, "and you know this is going to stick to you and this is going to eat you alive. You should come and turn yourself in, make it right."
The driver of the speeding truck ran a red light and slammed into Jesse's parents BMW, killing them.
The pickup's driver then ran off while the driver of the other car, a Dodge Charger, stopped for a moment then sped away.
"We have people out there that know what happened, and were involved into this," Jesse Sabillon, Jr., says. "To just carelessly walk away and to have no, no remorse, no...no heart to render aid or anything."
Family members say 60-year-old Jesse Estrada Sabillon and his 68-year-old wife Maria died at the scene.
Jesse was a Baptist minister, his wife Maria had been battling diabetes.
The couple was returning from a trip to see a cousin who had recently given birth.
Now the couple's three sons and six grandkids are in mourning, all due to street racers who ran a stoplight.
"You start off by racing, and then you end it off by taking two people's lives, and then you still walk away from it like nothing happened," says Jesse Sabillon, Jr.
Now both drivers face felony charges. They both remain on the run.
